The 2013 Cross Country team consisted of forty-nine dedicated runners who were driven by their love for the sport. For the months of September and October, the team practiced three times a week; the training involved running sprint repeats, hills, and the forest trail.
The runners participated in three meets including the Colts Classic, Sacred Heart Invitational and the YRAA Meet. Special recognition goes to Christina Chin, who placed 6th in the Junior Girls division. She qualified for the OFSAA Championships, which was held on Saturday, November 2nd in Sudbury.
Even though the season is over, the training continues as these eager runners cannot stay away from the trails. Fortunately the running club, begins later this month. Running Rams will allow Cross Country runners to stay in shape and for new members to be a part of this thrilling experience.
