As part of the entertainment, the dance club has been asked to perform multiple spectacular pieces, with their goal being to accentuate the evening with an emphasis on dance. The club consists of students from all grades of all genders who appreciate the art of dance and enjoy performing for audiences. Since there are so many diversities of dance, what main styles are the viewers expected to see? Emily Chung, an executive member explains that the club “tried to tailor our song and dance choices to the old school Hollywood style.”Emily explains that this style is going to be eye-catching, “because of the nature of Broadway and musical theatre…it allows the audience to feel more engaged.”

The club strives for unison, expression and details in their performances like in any other dance. However, since this is a new genre of dance for many of the members, close attention is being paid on how to present the dance in the right way. The dance club consistently participates in early morning practices to perfect these dances. They are extremely dedicated to putting on the best show for those watching, so not only the audience enjoys but themselves.
