Semi Formal - A Night to Remember
June Xu, Staff Reporter
St. Robert's Semi Formal was definitely a night to remember at St. Robert
Catholic High School. The Semi Formal dance was an enjoyable night where students
Grade 10 to Grade 12 could come out to enjoy a dance accompanied with music,
food and chocolate fountains.
The night was approaching as St. Robert's students arrived with extravagant dresses and suits. While waiting for their friends, the students took advantage of the beautiful photo ready background of the Royalton Banquet Hall. Students enjoying food from the chocolate fountain

The first event of the night was the Dance Club. The dancers showed up energized and ready to woo the St. Robert crowd. The group certainly performed to impress, with elements of dance that accompanied a variety of styles, including hip-hop and ballet. The cheering was inevitable. Then next up, the singers sang their way to the crowds' hearts. Their beautiful renditions of several popular songs added to the memorable moments of the night.

The rest of the night consisted of people flocking the photo booths, the chocolate fountains and the dance floor. On the dance floor, the fun side of each student had escaped. All of the students were jumping up and down to the rhythm of the music as if the night was never going to end.
Out of breath and energy drained, students exited the Royalton that night. The smiles on their faces, the memories they were never going to forget added to their high School experience. Grade 10 Student Olivia S. quoted, “Wow. This dance has left me speechless. I’m looking forward to it next year.” The Semi Formal dance at St. Robert’s was an unforgettable night. |
