The thumping of drums, the loud upbeat music and the wild lyrics had finally satisfied the huge crowd of students at the St. Robert Spring Dance. The Spring Dance was on Friday, April 4th, 2014 from 7-11 pm and open to the entire student body. "The School of Rock" was the night’s amazing theme, and it was full of exhilarating and memorable memories.
The doors opened at 6:30 PM and the halls filled with students as they anxiously waited for dusk to fall, the lights to dim, and the music to lead them to ultimate joy. |
Finally, the event planners of the dance, St. Robert's STUCO opened the doors and students filled in the empty spaces of the cafeteria.
"Originally, I thought it was going to be a lame dance, but turns out, I really enjoyed the night! " said grade nine student Allison L. The student council committee arranged several unique aspects of the dance, some including the use of glow sticks while dancing, others included the photo booth available for students to use. DJ Slumdog, |
the music enthusiast at the dance, gave an impressive performance as the night for students could not have been any better.
The fun filled waves of energy and positive spirit at St. Robert will have students begging for future dances and events. The School of Rock was just a small puzzle piece embedded in the memories of students, as students are eagerly awaiting next year’s dance. |
