The Show Awaits - Adventures of a Comic Book Artists
Daisy Chak, Staff Reporter
This year’s spectacular show is one that you will
not want to miss. Brought to you by a team of dedicated staff and students, Adventures
of a Comic Book Artist is home to Stanley Leonardo Sappovitz who dreams of
being a comic book artist. One night, as the janitor at Wunder Comics, he
discovers magic pens from Peloponnesian, an Adriatic around Greece, which
brings to life anything that he draws. With a zany group of superheroes
springing from his fingertips, what could possibly go wrong? Join Stanley and
his friends on a journey to reach for his dream and save the world!
Adventures of a Comic Book Artist stars Stephen Trong as Stanley, Zack Kale as Starguy, Christine Chin as Triple Time, Abigail Youssefi as Blossom and Armon Shahnavazy as Dr. Shock Clock, and is directed by Mr. Lothian. Costumes are made by Mrs. Sgorous, choreography is by YJ Lee from grade 11 and set design is overseen by Mrs. Monaco. Together they draw to life a dream performance, with lights, sound and action.
Stage manager Sarah De Sousa in grade 12 has high hopes for this spectacle, wishing “to make the young and old smile, while showcasing the wonderful talents of St. Robert students”. The entire cast and stage crew have put countless hours and will make magic in three unforgettable shows. The only question left is: where can I get my ticket? Tickets will be sold closer to date, but it is never too early to start planning with your friends, and family!
Performances will be at 7 pm on Thursday and Friday (May 22nd- May 23rd) and at 1 pm on Saturday (May 24th). Let your imagination run wild and prepare yourself for the charm of these real life superheroes!
