The Social Justice Club at St. Robert raises awareness across the student body to important campaigns that are known throughout the world. The life changing club meets every Wednesday in the Cafeteria to discuss major world issues.
Social Justice raises great awareness throughout the school about issues locally and globally. They raise money to get tangible things done throughout the world such as wells, schools, and many other important goods. Social Justice pays particular attention to the well-known campaign that was first founded |
by Craig Keilburger, known as Free the Children. Some of Social Justices’ objectives are to build a five-thousand dollar well in Ecuador for Free the Children. Also, they plan on building a ten-thousand dollar school in Ecuador with the Free the Children Brick-to-Brick Campaign.
Think Fast is a well-known event at St.Robert in which Social Justice takes part. It is their largest event of the year and we very fortunately raised fifteen-hundred dollars this year. They take part in other important events such as Pancake Tuesday and Walk for Change which is occurring on May 31st, 2014. |
If you are have trouble thinking about a way to start making a change around the world I recommend you join Social Justice in the Cafeteria every Wednesday. A small club like Social Justice can make such a difference to those around the world.
